Avery Lee Aholt
Although slightly delayed, I have an update!! Avery Lee Aholt was born on January 12th at 1:50 pm, one day before I was scheduled to be induced. He weighed 6 lbs 5 ozs and was 19.5 inches long. I went into active labor at 4:00 am and after 8 hours I was ready to push. After an hour of unsuccessful pushing it was decided that Avery could not be delivered vaginally, and an emergency c-section was performed. I was scared to death of the idea, but wanted nothing more than to see my baby enter the world, and I wanted the pain to stop : ) My hospital stay was rough since my blood pressure did not drop after he was born. I couldn't even have any visitors the following day. We were released to go home on Thursday with Avery having slight jaundice. We went to the doctor on Friday and it had increased to 19.4 on a 20.0 scale!!!!! So, we were sent home to use to light blankets Friday night, and the jaundice decreased to 12 on Saturday, which was a blessing. Since then we have been loving every moment with Avery. At his two week appointment he weighed 7 lbs 4 ozs, so he is definetly a growing boy. You can view his photo online at http://www.boone.org/, password is Lammers.
Byron and I have decided to get married in Jamaica. We will be flying out June 1 and will be married sometime shortly after that. We are going to be staying at Sunset at the Palms, in Negril. I am totally stoked and can't wait to make it our special time.

In the hospital again.......
I forgot my password to do my updates....until today : ) Byron and I went in for our weekly ultrasound, non-stress test and doctor visit on Tuesday the 6th. Everything was going well, Avery had been given a clean bill of health weighing somewhere around 6 lbs at 36 weeks. My amniotic fluid level had decreased but was still in the normal range, so we left our ultrasound thinking it would be a few weeks before we would get to meet our little guy. That all changed when they checked my blood pressure in the dr's office. At a whopping 144/99 I was sent directly to labor and delivery, where I remain today. The good news???? Avery will be at 37 weeks tomorrow, so they have scheduled to have me induced on Tuesday 1/13. I have been promised a long labor, but I know that it will all be worth it : )
I will post pictures of our little man as soon as we return home!! Keep us in your prayers : )
